American Girl ~ Doll Ribbons

American Girl has also had some great items for their doll.  One of those is ribbons.  American Girl used ribbons in many outfits and on dolls.  The ribbons are hard to find.  You never know if they are real or not. The ribbons never have tags.  They come in bags.  The early ribbons come in bags with no tags.  The newer ribbons come in bags with American Girl gold oval label.  The ribbon comes in many colors and styles for woven, satin, grosgrain & taffeta.  They come in wide, thin, and normal.

The first dolls were Kristen, Samantha & Molly.  All three dolls had ribbons.

Kristen Doll has the following ribbons.

• Kristen doll - 2 blue ribbons: woven
• School Dress - 2 dark blue ribbons: woven
• Saint Lucia Gown - 2 red ribbons: woven
• Winter Skirt & Blouse - 2 flower woven
• Ribbon for Doll - 2 each royal blue, multi-color, red, beige, and dark blue - woven

                                          

Molly doll has the following ribbons.

• Molly - 2 red satin ribbons
• Plaid Jumper - 2 green ribbons
• Evergreen Velvet Dress 2 white ribbons
• Ribbons for Doll - 2 each red, green, white & blue – satin

                                               

Samantha doll has the following ribbons.

• Samantha - wide plaid: taffeta that matches the dress
• Buster Brown - wide black ribbon - satin
• Cranberry Party Dress - wide white ribbons - satin
• Ribbons of Doll - plaid, white, black & pink - satin  

                                                 

Felicity doll has the following ribbons.

• Ribbons for Dolls - blue, ivory, forest green & berry: satin

At the start of the Today line American Girl went in a different direction, they started to use headbands, hair clips, ponytail holders, j and barrettes.  Only a few outfits have ribbons.  Red Vinyl Jumper comes with a hat that has a plaid ribbon.  Sparkle & Spin Ice Skating outfit has 2 thin peach ribbons.
